I taught first grade for part of a year during my first year of teaching.  After that I began teaching fifth grade at CMS.  I taught fifth grade for ten years.  I am presently teaching in gifted education pulling groups of students in third through sixth grade from A. H. Watwood Elementary, Childersburg Elementary, and Childersburg Middle School.  This is my tenth year teaching gifted education classes, and I love it!

I am married to Tommy Ivey, and I have lived in Childersburg most of my life.  I have two beautiful girls-Cassandra and Amber and three wonderful grandchildren.  I love being a wife, mother, grandmother and teacher.

I really enjoy reading, writing and art.  I know we are going to have a great year!
